How you can Help ASDOGS(NQ)
ASDOGS (NQ) Inc. has an active dog breeding program to produce top quality potential Assistance Dogs. These puppies spend the first 12 months of their life, from the age of two months onwards with puppy raisers. Their job is to gently break a puppy into the social aspects of becoming an Assistance Dog before full training begins. Puppy raisers need to live in the Far North Queensland area. Contact ASDOGS (NQ) Inc. secretary for further information if you wish to apply. Furthermore the below Application Form may be of assistance in what we require of you.
Puppy Carers
ASDOGS(NQ) are always on the lookout for volunteer Puppy Carers. Puppy Carers will be required to care for a puppy from about 8 weeks of age to about 12 months. All vet visits and fees are paid for by ASDOGS(NQ). All a carer has to do is provide food and shelter and also attend monthly training sessions to help provide obedience training for the puppy.

Dog Boarding - If You Live In or Near Mareeba
Dogs in training need to be boarded in private homes to learn socialisation skills. Each dog would be collected each weekday morning for training and returned each evening.
Assisting with Training
Training an Assistance Dog involves approximately 160 hours of one-on-one training in both obedience and specific tasks. Training takes place at our training centre near Mareeba and assistants are always welcome.
Fund-raising
All ASDOGS (NQ) Inc. personnel are volunteers. Funds are needed for dog upkeep, insurance, accreditation of dogs, dog jackets and badges, fencing, travelling, expenses, etc., etc.
ASDOGS (NQ) Inc. would appreciate any ideas for raising money.
Donations
All donations will be acknowledged and receipted. All donations over $2.00 are tax deductable and a receipt will be provided on request.
All donations of funds would be used ONLY to provide for the training of Assistance Dogs by ASDOGS (NQ) Inc.

Sponsoring an ASDOGS(NQ) Puppy
In sponsoring a puppy, you would be assisting ASDOGS(NQ) with the financial support needed to train a puppy to become an Assistance Dog to assist people with disabilities.
For as little as $1.50 a day, you can fully support an Assistance Dog puppy.
This would provide all the necessary funding needed until the puppy was fully trained.Quarterly, you will receive a photo and an update on your puppy’s progress. You will be invited to our fund raising events to meet your puppy and to be present at the graduation ceremony to meet the recipient of your puppy.
Sponsorship Options
A. $45 per month ($1.50 per day).
Pays for all the puppy's requirements such as food, heartworm medication, flea control, vet care, training, coats and treats, outings, recipient training.
B. $30 per month ($1.05 per day).
Pays for puppy's food, vet care, heartworm medication, flea control and puppy training.
C. $15 per month (less than $0.60 per day).
Pays for puppy's food and heartworm medication.
It takes approximately $20,000 to train a fully qualified assistance dog.
Remember all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
